Résumé La section des Persikà consacrée à la vie d’Artoxerxès est en réalité l’histoire des exploits de Mégabyze, un aristocrate qui rivalise avec le roi pendant toute sa vie. L’analyse de la source nous amène à réfléchir sur les motivations qui poussèrent Ctésias à donner une grande importance à Mégabyze et en même temps nous renseigne sur certaines dynamiques historiques et politiques de l’histoire perse du milieu du V e siècle av. J. -C.

El pensamiento de Leopoldo Zea comienza a tomar cuerpo a partir de la década de 1940 y forma parte de un legado representativo para la filosofía latinoamericana y, más específicamente, para la Historia de las Ideas Latinoamericanas. Las reflexiones que volcó en sus libros, y que expuso en foros de discusión que recorrieron el mundo, estuvieron siempre empeñadas en desentrañar el sentido de nuestra historia, con el fin de esclarecer y organizar los saberes y las prácticas de nuestra vida espiritual. (...) Ello, sin perder de vista la necesidad de buscar todos aquellos modos que permitan articular nuestra cultura y nuestra historia con la cultura y la historia universales. Además, su vasta obra contiene importantes aportes que nutren el legado de una tradición siempre orientada a reforzar la afirmación de los ideales de libertad, la autonomía de los pueblos, la integración y, fundamentalmente, la prospectiva de "imaginar sociedades del futuro igualmente deseables para unos y para otros", tal como lo enuncia Don Leopoldo.L. Zea's thinking begun to take shape during the 1940s; they are part of a representative legacy to Latin American philosophy and, more specifically, to the history of Latin American ideas. The reflections in his books, also presented at discussion forums all over the world, always tried to disclose the meaning of our history in order to enlighten and to organize the knowledge and the practices of our spiritual life, this being so without neglecting our concern about the way our history and culture articulate with the universal history and culture. Moreover, his work nourishes a tradition always aimed at strengthening the ideals of freedom, people's autonomy, and integration, and especially the capacity to "imagine future societies just as desirable for all", as don Leopoldo would say. El contexto rural colombiano, en los años noventa, se configuró, a partir de un discurso de desarrollo que desconoció y estigmatizó a la población campesina. En este sentido, “el trabajador agrario”, tal y como lo considera la Constitución Política de 1991, no refiere a la realidad específica de las comunidades campesinas, sino a un “pequeño productor”, que como lo indica el Informe de Desarrollo Humano de 2011, representa a individuo con un rol secundario, que con asistencia crediticia y técnica puede (...) ponerse a nivel, pero solo como productor de mediana escala. El presente artículo de reflexión tiene por objetivo analizar los efectos biopolíticos que ha tenido la visión política del desarrollo implementada en el campo colombiano, en esta época, haciendo énfasis en la forma como se han establecido las necesidades para esta población. We make several remarks concerning properties of functions in parabolic De Giorgi classes of order p. There are new perspectives including a novel mechanism of propagating positivity in measure, the reservation of membership under convex composition, and a logarithmic type estimate. Based on them, we are able to give new proofs of known properties. In particular, we prove local boundedness and local Hölder continuity of these functions via Moser’s ideas, thus avoiding De Giorgi’s heavy machinery. We also seize (...) this opportunity to give a transparent proof of a weak Harnack inequality for nonnegative members of some super-class of De Giorgi, without any covering argument. (shrink)

This article addresses the notion of “illusions of the multitude”, or the ideas created by the imagination in the analysis that Baruch Spinoza makes in his works. The text aims to explore the following questions: What characteristics reveal the ideas originating from the imagination? What role do these ideas play in the political and so- cial space? First, I emphasize Spinoza’s explanation of the imagination, as a first mode of knowledge. Un tema transversal que aparece en la obra de la filósofa Judith Butler, especialmente en Vida precaria y Marcos de guerra, tiene que ver con la experiencia afectiva que tienen los sujetos. Por esta razón, el objetivo del presente artículo teórico es analizar la manera como la filósofa norteamericana trata el tema de los afectos o las emociones. El texto se centra en demostrar la pertinencia de la reflexión en torno a los afectos, ya que es un elemento crítico-social que (...) ayuda a comprender la constitución de la subjetividad y la agencia, tanto individual como colectiva; asimismo, pretende ofrecer nuevos aportes para el entendimiento de las situaciones contemporáneas de discriminación y opresión, pero también de resistencia en contextos democráticos. Aun cuando el sujeto, desde sus experiencias afectivas, se encuentra condicionado por los marcos normativos sociales, es posible pensar en luchas desde el afecto, como una salida ante los efectos restrictivos que este genera. Humanitarian aid’s psycho-therapeutic turn in the 1990s was mirrored by the increasing emotionalization and subjectivation of fund-raising campaigns. In order to grasp the depth of this interconnectedness, this article argues that in both cases what we see is the post-Fordist production paradigm at work; namely, as Hardt and Negri put it, the direct production of subjectivity and social relations. To explore this, the therapeutic and mental health approach in humanitarian aid is juxtaposed with the more general phenomenon of psychologization. This (...) allows us to see that the psychologized production of subjectivity has a problematic waste-product as it reduces the human to Homo sacer, to use Giorgi Agamben’s term. Drawing out a double matrix of a de-psychologizing psychologization connected to a politicizing de-politicization, it will further become possible to understand psycho-therapeutic humanitarianism as a case of how, in these times of globalization, psychology, subjectivity and money are all interrelated. A theory can be an explanation of a piece of the world. A theory of law is intended to be an explanation of that phenomenon of social communication which we call Law. But, Raffaele De Giorgi, perhaps the person responsible for the introduction of luhmannian theory in Argentina, (jointly with Torres Nafarrate in Mexico in translating Luhmann’s work to Spanish), asked: What is a theory of society? What is the “Law of society”? And answered: Can we discuss this?, hands (...) managed by hands, nothing different from a prostheses. According to De Giorgi we are sure that the themes that we use as objects or objects that we use as themes, are our construction, we think that we turn around ourselves, while we continue rotating around the vacuum. It is a paradox, or another paradox: ¿Is it possible to get out or get rid of these paradoxes? Logic does not help us. Logic, according to Luhmann, can only see to the fact that some expressions, with unavailable truths, are in contradiction with other expressions, the problem cannot be resolved us- ing logical operations. With the help of Gegenparadoxierungen (against-par- adox), systemic therapy is the alternative where the problem can be toler- ated. And, according to Luhmann, the placement of the paradox should be conducted in a more or less skilled, successful, or useful way to break the logjam.A creative use of paradoxes, especially legal ones, allows us to observe how Luhmann’s theory has impacted existing theories in ArgentinaThemes such as the paradoxality of law, or its being without foundation (and without beginning, the vacuity of their principles and the opacity of its distinctions and operations), filtered theories (like Carlos Cárcova or Ernesto Grün) and jurisprudential practices have started shifting things to what Bielefeld Professor has called “old European”Resumen:Una teoría puede ser una explicación de un sector del mundo. Usando operaciones lógicas, el problema no puede ser resuelto. Como terapia sistémica la única que podemos ver, con el auxilio de la Gegenparadoxierungen (“contra-paradoja”), es un lugar menos doloroso en el que puede tolerarse el problema. Y recordó que, en cierto sentido, la colocación de la paradoja se realizará con más o menos éxito, esto es: de manera útil para desbloquear la situación.Y es el uso creativo de paradojas, especialmente uno que se hizo por el Derecho, el que nos permite observar cómo su teoría (la de Luhmann) se ha comenzado a reciclar en las teorías existentes en Argentina. Temas como el problema de la paradojalidad del Derecho, de su ser sin fundamentos y sin comienzo, de la vacuidad de sus principios y la opacidad de sus operaciones y distinciones, se filtran teorías (como las de Carlos Cárcova o Ernesto Grün) y prácticas de la jurisprudencia y puede verse que ha comenzado a remover ese tipo de pensamiento que el profesor de Bielefeld había llamado “vétero europeo”. The purpose of this article is twofold. First, on the basis of a re-examination of the sources and with new arguments, it discusses the meaning of a verse-fragment quoted anonymously by Servius ad Aen. 4.638 (Enn. Ann. Dub. Fr. V Sk. = Inc. 31 blänsdorf, p. 434 courtney), and supports the attribution of this fragment to Ennius’ “Annales”. Second, it demonstrates that this attribution is not undermined by the presence, in the fragment, of a parenthetical phrase that is “in apposition”, (...) a stylistic feature which, though commonly believed to date back to Virgil’s time, may, in fact, be also attested in another Ennian fragment from the “Annales” (Enn. Este trabalho visa apresentar a trajetória de uma pesquisa qualitativa em Psicologia, que defini a Fenomenologia e a Historiografia como metodologias. Após delimitar os objetivos da pesquisa em questão, fez-se necessário elaborar um percurso metodológico para alcançá-los. Dessa forma, inicia-se o relato de uma longa jornada que envolve desde a delimitação do universo da pesquisa até os passos da pesquisadora em campo. Este artigo tem como propósito partilhar informações, discutir e minimizar as dificuldades enfrentadas por pesquisadores em trabalho de campo (...) no uso de metodologias de base qualitativa, especificamente a historiografia e a Fenomenologia no método proposto por Amadeo Giorgi e Daniel Sousa. Assim, organiza-se o presente trabalho da seguinte forma: introdução, que recupera a história da pesquisa realizada; percurso metodológico: primeiras pistas; escolha dos participantes, fundamentos metodológicos, passo a passo da pesquisa em campo e considerações finais. The new system of axioms we propose is based on the foundational theory of De Giorgi et al. Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, Preprints di Matematica 26: 1 (1996) slightly modified. In that paper (which is dedicated to a new axiomatic framework for mathematics, informatics and logic) the authors use two kinds of primitive notions: relations and qualities. Since their system is based on the distribution paradigm, they start from distinction. We propose to shift the perspective and to start (...) from unity and then from within unity to pass to distinction; to this end we apply ideas of Lesniewski, Nijhoff International Philosophy Series 44 (1992). We introduce only one kind of entity as a primitive notion, namely relations, and treat qualities as articulations of relations. The new concept of "primary relation" permits the introduction of a dynamic, non-standard form of identity, which we hope will find application in various fields where self-referential structures are required. A paper by Beneš, published in 1954, was an attempt to prove the consistency of $\mathsf{NF}$ via a partial model of Hailperin’s finite axiomatization of $\mathsf{NF}$. Here, I offer an analysis of Beneš’s proof in a De Giorgi-style setting for set theory. This approach leads to an abstract version of Beneš’s theorem that emphasizes the monotone and invariant content of the axioms proved to be consistent, in a sense of monotony and invariance that this paper intends to state rigorously (...) and to help clarify. Moreover, some tentative speculation will be made about possible developments of the topic in the following two directions: which set theories can be proved to be consistent via Beneš-like constructions, and how can we elaborate on Beneš’s model to get a consistency proof for full $\mathsf{NF}$? En esencia el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje e investigación en Historia sigue siendo el mismo de siempre, sin embargo la llegada de las nuevas tecnologías permite que puedan desarrollarse con más amplitud y profundidad algunos de los aspectos relacionados tanto con la adquisición de habilidades propias de la Historia como de una mayor extensión y profundización en las investigaciones históricas.

Scholarly debates on the Critique of Pure Reason have largely been shaped by epistemological questions. Challenging this prevailing trend, Kant's Reform of Metaphysics is the first book-length study to interpret Kant's Critique in view of his efforts to turn Christian Wolff's highly influential metaphysics into a science. Karin de Boer situates Kant's pivotal work in the context of eighteenth-century German philosophy, traces the development of Kant's conception of critique, and offers fresh and in-depth analyses of key parts of the Critique (...) of Pure Reason, including the Transcendental Deduction, the Schematism Chapter, the Appendix to the Transcendental Analytic, and the Architectonic. The book not only brings out the coherence of Kant's project, but also reconstructs the outline of the 'system of pure reason' for which the Critique was to pave the way, but that never saw the light. En este volumen se presenta completamente editada y anotada por primera vez, con fuentes y variantes, la obra capital de Unamuno, Del sentimiento trágico de la vida (1911-1912). La acompaña un libro inédito, Tratado del amor de Dios (1905-1908), versión primitiva de Del sentimiento trágico, pero tan diferente, que merece considerarse como obra aparte. Unamuno amplía, enriquece y templa el tono de múltiples ideas de la primera obra para redactar la segunda. Porque ahora escribe influido por la encíclica papal antimodernista (...) (1907) y por la independización intelectual de Ortega y Gasset (1909). El Tratado desarrolla la idea del amor como el afán de ser uno mismo, y sin dejar de serlo,, de ser todo lo demás. Del sentimiento trágico de la vida explica que el afán de inmortalidad individual genera una teoría del conocimiento, una doctrina de Dios, una ética, una estética y una idea de la historia universal.
